Unifi’s line of Security Cameras and Network Video Storage is a dream to work with and a comprehensive solution can be put together for a reasonably affordable price.

Now, this is NOT your ordinary Reolink, Eufy or AOSO wireless camera solution. This is a well designed POE (Power Over Ethernet) hardwired solution that comes with cameras from $99 to $2,499. You can go inexpensive and sacrifice resolution or night vision, or opt for top of the line PTZ cameras that can automatically track moving targets. They even have a dedicated license plate reader.

Their Unifi Network Video Recorders come in a variety of sizes ($299 to $1,999 plus storage), or are even included with Unifi cloud gateway controllers. The UNVR’s will support Unifi as well as many 3rd party cameras that support the ONVIF standard. On their dedicated UNVR’s or Enterprise UNVR’s, just pick the size of hard drives you want and you can create a monster storage system to provide weeks or months of stored footage. 

But wait, there is more. Some of their cameras have native AI abilities but you add AI to all their latest cameras for a reasonable price. Add on their additional AI analytics box  and you add an advanced layer of computer vision to incoming smart detections. This allows you to be told in simple English, what the camera is seeing AND it also allows you to create searches from an AI Chat prompt (Show me all the people with black hoodies and red pants. 

Once you decide to put up a video surveillance system, you will find you NEVER have enough cameras.
