If you have gone down the Unifi path in full abandon, you might want to consider moving your phone service to the Unifi product line.

  • You can keep it as simple as just purchasing Unifi G3 Desktop Phones and integrating them into some of the leading cloud providers.

  • You can purchase your phone numbers and dial tone really cheap from a third party provider like VOIP.ms and link this to your Unifi Cloud Gateway

  • Or you can connect your existing Unifi Cloud Gateway Device to their robust Talk solution and with a monthly subscription ($9.99 or $24.99) for each user, provide 3,000 or unlimited minutes for each user over the Unifi Desktop Phones or with their Identity App (Also used for VPN, WiFI, Access, and site specific camera viewing).

Please be aware that this is one of Unifi’s NEWEST offerings. They had a totally different phone product a number of years ago and then slowly phased that out and eventually came out with this new solution. It is NOT up to par with the latest online VOIP Cloud providers and is not handling SMS texting very effectively yet. But if you just need basic outbound calling, you do not text much from your work phone number and you do not have extensive inbound phone trees or paging needs, then this can work just fine for you. One thing about Unifi though is that they are always innovating. So, assuming they see this as a long term solution, they will constantly be adding new features to this product and it will eventually be on par with many of the system out there (No guarantees though).

UniFiCT, located in central Connecticut, can assist you in identifying your phone system needs. Our consultants have installed many different phone solutions across many businesses. They have worked with direct phone providers like AT&T, and Comcast, rolled out solutions from the top VOIP providers like Vonage or lesser known VOIP providers like ViaTalk and Voipo, and even put in full open source FreePBX solutions on cloud hosted networks. You can be sure you are working with a team that understands the needs of most businesses.
